Décors Barbares Bedroom by Nathalie Farman-Farma at Casa Cabana
Woven during the 16th century, this antique Ottoman embroidery fragment, in its elegance and vivacity, is the gracious expression of Ottoman artistic syncretism and refined craftsmanship. We know of a second fragment belonging to the same fabric now in a private collection in Munich. Both show that the Ottoman Empire excelled in the art of silk embroidery.
