This rare find is a blend of panels of heavy, hand-woven hemp cloth hand-stitched together. The Transylvanian style embroidery is hand-sewn in fine cotton on pale home-woven linen. The hems are decorated with the weaving technique of Irasos, writing stitch, which is typical of the mountainous areas of Western Transylvania.
