This handmade terracotta confit jar dates back to the early 1900s. Its beautifully unique iridescent crème glaze has a wonderful patina. Originally used as a confit jar preserving foods such as anchovies or sardines fresh from the Mediterranean.

Care Instructions
Remove loose dirt with a soft bristle brush; a cloth may snag on fragile surfaces. Washing with tap water is acceptable, but distilled or de-ionized water is preferable. Water temperature should be lukewarm or cooler.
