Why we love it
Ikat is traditionally a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles, where yarns are resist dyed prior to hand-weaving the fabric. This is a time consuming process, which may be repeated multiple times to create elaborate and multi-colored patterns. This specific ikat was naturally dyed and hand loomed over the course of a year. Each piece is a work of art, a storybook of the communities heritage. This textile is stitched in a tubular shape, which lends it self perfectly to a kitchen curtain.
