This beautifully mounted 18th/19th century carpet fragment serves as a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of Anatolian weavers. Antique rugs like this are made using natural dyes, derived from plants and insects, which contributed to their vibrant colors and longevity. The combination of symbolic motifs and intricate designs also reflects the socio-cultural and spiritual values of the communities that produced them. Tthis rug fragment is likely a piece from an antique Caucasian or Anatolian rug, embodying rich cultural history, traditional craftsmanship, and the symbolic artistry of the region's weaving heritage.
