Why we love it

This French boutis quilt was hand-crafted in the early 19th century. Provençal quilting, otherwise known as boutis, refers to the traditional technique from the South of France, layering two fabrics together between sections of the design to create a raised effect. The front face features a floral cream and red pattern with a central striped insert, and the back is hand-stitched with a beige and cream french linen.
