There could have been no more fitting place for the occasion: a meeting of an Italian house defined by its devotion to materials and craftsmanship, and a magazine whose pages have always celebrated the poetry of the handmade.
For the Fall issue, Brunello Cucinelli supplied a selection of textiles that became eight distinct collectible covers, each bringing its own character to the magazine. At their centre was a limited edition presented in a special box by Giuseppe Porcelli: a striped design cover enclosed in tortoiseshell Plexiglas, with a bamboo lid. Porcelli’s objects, inspired by Casa Cabana, appeared throughout the rooms, creating a lovely dialogue between the new issue and its setting.
Casa Cabana itself is never simply a backdrop. The storied Mondadori family home, decorated by Renzo Mongiardino in the late 1970s, is where the spirit of Cabana first took shape. Its library corridor, in particular, felt especially resonant on this occasion: surrounded by books and the collected layers of a much-loved home, guests paused to leaf through the new magazine.
Martina Mondadori welcomed leading figures from the press, including Chloé Malle, Head of Editorial Content at Vogue U.S.; Imran Amed, founder and CEO of The Business of Fashion; and Samira Nasr, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar. The evening brought together the worlds of publishing, fashion, design and culture with the effortless warmth of a gathering among friends.

On the balcony, Ivy Getty and Kyra Lemoyne Kennedy, wearing looks from Brunello Cucinelli’s latest collection, enjoyed conversation with Savannah Engel and Sophie Goodwin, with views across the private gardens of Milan’s Quadrilatero della Moda. In the dining room, Francesca Mapelli joined Cleo zu Oettingen-Spielberg and Marlies Pia around the table, admiring the new Cabana tablecloth design, while Francesca Versace and Cabana Editorial Director, Barbara Spinelli, exchanged notes on their favourite Milan restaurants.
Autumnal flowers appeared everywhere: loosely arranged, poetic and abundant, they accompanied a beautiful Italian supper of risotto, pasta, wine and cocktails. A special pie welcomed the season, followed by the house’s famously irresistible chocolate cake: a much-loved finale at Casa Cabana!
As conversation drifted from the library to the dining room and back onto the balcony, the evening became what the best Cabana evenings always are: a celebration of friendship, beautiful objects, shared stories and the pleasure of feeling at home.
