Salone Night Fever

Cabana hosts its very first dance off, at Milan's hottest new nightspot, to celebrate Salone del Mobile 2026 and the launch of the new magazine, Issue No.25. Sophie Goodwin gives her spin.

Milan Design Week has long been Cabana’s spiritual home turf, and this year’s celebration — a full-throttle family party to mark both the week and the launch of the new issue — was exactly that: exuberant, glamorous, and entirely in the spirit of a magazine that has always believed rooms and people should be incredibly well dressed.

NAMI HiFi, Milan’s hottest new club on the scene hosted the evening, and proved the perfect backdrop: guests arrived in droves post dinner (kick off was 10pm) and nobody wanted to leave. Cocktails flowed, from Martina Mondadori’s favorite, the classic Martini, to Negronis and gin & tonics, while the room filled steadily with the crowd that defines Milan Design Week: creatives, contributors, collaborators, and kindred spirits drawn from design, fashion, the arts, and everywhere in between.

The guest list was, as ever, a rather good indication of Cabana’s worldwide appeal. The Americans were out in force – notably Aerin Lauder, Nick Brown, Derek Blasberg, Wes Gordon, Maddie O’Malley and Will Cooper – as Francesca Ragazzi, Coco Brandolini, David Prior, Kyra Kennedy and Guido Taroni mingled into the small hours, along with Dimore's Emiliano Salci, wearing arguably the best jacket of the evening.

The new issue itself took centre stage, with its four striking textile covers, produced in collaboration with Bvlgari, drawing immediate and repeated admiration throughout the night. Inside, a refined redesign introduces a fresh palette and an evolving aesthetic, whilst remaining entirely true to Cabana’s enduring devotion to rooms with soul — interiors shaped by masters including Stephen Sills and Tino Zervudachi sit alongside a new generation of voices: Charles Van Canneyt and, fittingly, Emiliano Salci himself.
