As Venice came alive for Biennale week, Cabana and Bvlgari gathered artists, collectors and friends for an intimate candlelit dinner at Palazzo Loredan dell’Ambasciatore — a richly atmospheric evening that celebrated the launch of Cabana N25 through the shared languages of craftsmanship, beauty and Italian elegance.

On 11 May, as Venice hummed with all the opening energy of Biennale week, Cabana marked the launch of Issue No. 25 — created in cover collaboration with Roman high jeweller, Bvlgari — with an intimate candlelit dinner at Palazzo Loredan dell’Ambasciatore, the historic Grand Canal palazzo belonging to the Gaggia family.
Behind its palatial doors, and despite the rain falling steadily over the lagoon outside, the evening progressed with a characteristically Venetian glow. Forty guests arrived for aperitivo ahead of dinner, welcomed by live jazz and the convivial murmur of old friends and new acquaintances. Venetian society mingled with international artists, collectors, and gallerists: friends of Cabana drawn to the city for the Biennale. The layered, lively gathering was entirely in the spirit of the magazine.
Dinner was served on the piano nobile, where a long imperial table was dressed in Cabana’s much-loved Houghton Hall tablecloth. Its intricate pattern formed the backdrop for a striking floral composition by Ammano Fiori, while candlelight moved across the room, lending the setting a sense of gravitas without ever losing its intimacy. The menu was equally graceful: a moscardini salad followed by a delicate spring risotto.
After a soft piano introduction, Renato Munafò, Bvlgari's Italy & Turkey Managing Director, addressed the room, bringing a note of warmth and celebration to the evening. Later, guests were invited into the enchanting saletta verde, where fresh blooms and Cabana’s Iris tablecloth set the scene for an abundant dessert display. As the rain began to lift, the evening drifted outside to the terrace, where guests enjoyed cocktails overlooking one of Venice’s most evocative views: the Grand Canal at night.

Alongside representatives of Bvlgari and Cabana were a constellation of guests and Big Cabana Family favorites including Bianca and Giberto Arrivabene with their daughters, Antonio Monfreda, Soledad Twombly, Servane Giol, Kyra Kennedy, Anna Castellini, Adele Re Rebaudengo and Lola Schnabel. The evening was graciously hosted by Filippo and Alessandra Gaggia, among the founders of Dimora Italia, with Cabana's co-founder, Christoph Radl.
Guests left in the small hours with copies of the new issue, Cabana N25, in hand and a precious Bvlgari fragrance as a parting gift: fitting mementos of an evening defined by elegance, intimacy and a distinctly Italian sense of splendour. More than a celebration, the dinner was a dialogue between two worlds closely aligned in spirit – Bvlgari’s heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary allure, and Cabana’s enduring devotion to authenticity and the poetry of living beautifully.
