Cabana at Orticola:

Antik Batik Takes Root in Milan

To celebrate the launch of the Antik Batik x Cabana capsule collection, Cabana hosted a midday gathering during Milan’s Orticola Flower Show with guests dressed in head-to-toe pieces from the collaboration. As they headed to the fair, Cabana unveiled a dedicated stand featuring botanical books, city guides, and the exclusive new gardening bag, part of the capsule collection with Antik Batik x Cabana.

Each May, Milan’s Indro Montanelli Public Garden hosts Orticola, Italy’s most prestigious flower show and a fixture on the city’s cultural calendar since 1996. Bringing together Italy’s best specialist nurseries, designers, and garden enthusiasts, the fair is both a celebration of nature and a philanthropic effort with proceeds dedicated to greening Milan.

Orticola is where botanical tradition meets Milanese style, and this year, it also set the stage for the launch of the Antik Batik x Cabana exclusive capsule of Ready-to-wear. To mark the occasion, Cabana hosted a midday gathering at The Cabana Store on Via Borgospesso, inviting friends to preview new summer arrivals and celebrate the exclusive collaboration with Parisian brand Antik Batik, founded by Gabriella Cortese.

The six-piece capsule is a mix of embroidered vests, flowing cotton dresses, and statement kaftans. Each piece merges Cabana’s eye for print and texture with Antik Batik’s bohemian elegance. Easy to wear yet thoughtfully detailed, each garment is grounded in craftsmanship and summer energy.

Gabriella Cortese and Martina Mondadori welcomed guests including Carolina Bonfiglio, Bérengère Lux, Michela Proietti, Agata Bormioli and others for a light lunch in-store. The space was resplendent for summer, with a curated selection of printed D’Ascoli kaftans, embroidered Egyptian tunics, and the new Antik Batik x Cabana capsule, layered against the brand’s signature backdrop of bold print and color. Sandwiches, mini quiches, fresh juices, and champagne set a relaxed and celebratory tone.

After lunch, guests walked from The Cabana Store to Orticola dressed in pieces from the new collaboration. At the fair, Cabana also welcomed visitors to its own stand, featuring a special curation of botanical-themed books, magazines, city guides, and the newly launched Antik Batik x Cabana gardening bag — a practical canvas tote designed with the same mix of utility and elegance.

This year’s Orticola theme, “Generation G: Young Gardeners Grow”, focused on environmental responsibility and a renewed connection to the natural world. It proved a fitting backdrop for the Cabana x Antik Batik launch: a collaboration rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and the ongoing dialogue between home, nature, and personal style.
