Hawaiʻi: a kingdom crossing oceans at the British Museum

A landmark exhibition tracing Hawaiʻi’s history through extraordinary objects—from feathered royal cloaks and shark-toothed weapons to contemporary works by Kānaka ʻŌiwi artists. Marking 200 years since King Liholiho and Queen Kamāmalu's fateful voyage to Britain, the show explores movement, exchange, and enduring ties between Hawaiian and British cultures—centering Indigenous voices throughout.

Of Earth and Light

Of Earth and Light A Solo Exhibition by Will Calver © Artist and Francis Gallery
Inspired by Mark Doty’s Still Life with Oysters and Lemon, Will Calver’s new paintings meditate on oil painting’s elemental origins. Fruit, flowers, vessels, and found objects—many gathered from the artist’s family garden—become quiet studies in matter and luminosity.
Through February 7, 2026, Francis Gallery, LOS ANGELES, USA
